An interbank interest rate for euro deposits that came into effect on January 1, 1999. It is commonly used as a reference rate for variable interest rate loans. Reuters is responsible for calculating it with the offer prices of loans from the main European banks, and it is also published by them. In Spain, it is publicly announced in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
